Some Must Know Linen Lingo

Bistro Tables

Also known as Cocktail or High-Top Tables stand 42” tall and are commonly used for standing or bar-height seating

Drop

The length of fabric that hangs over the edge of a table from the tabletop to the bottom of the linen.

  • Standard Drop: Typically 12″–15″, providing a balanced look while keeping guests comfortable.
  • Lap-Length Drop: Around 15″, commonly used for casual dining.
  • Floor-Length Drop: Reaches the floor (29″–30″ for most banquet tables), creating a polished, formal appearance.
Floor Puddle

A linen that extends beyond floor length, pooling elegantly on the ground for a luxurious, draped effect.

Overlay
